This short trek around Kathmandu valley is a quick getaway to see panoramic mountain views for those having short time. Shivapuri national park is rich in vegetation, animals and landscape. Chisapani is the the most suggested view point for Langtang mountain range near Kathmandu. This trek will also take you to other popular view point Nagarkot. Doing this three day trek around Kathmandu rim will give you the best experience of trek, mountains, forest and lifestyle in the suburbs of Kathmandu valley.
Suggested typical day to day itinerary
Kathmandu – Chisapani
We will take a one hour drive to Sundarijal and start hiking through Mulkharka. Mulkharka is a beautiful Tamang village, after crossing the village through the dense forest of Shivapuri we reach Chisapani, this is the most popular hill station offering full view of Langtang mountain range. The sunrise and sunset creates magnificent views on the mountains.
Chisapani – Nagarkot
This day we trek along the top ridge of Shivapuri to Nagarkot. Along the trekking trail you will be able to see different vegetation of plants, landscape and mountain views. We will stay overnight at Nagarkot and enjoy sunset from 3 star hotel.
Nagarkot – Kathmandu
On the last day of trip we hike from Nagarkot to Changunarayan via Telkot. This trail is mostly descending and offers view of people and lifestyle in the suburbs of Kathmandu.
