Located in the foothills of the Himalayas, the Kathmandu Valley World Heritage property is inscribed uniquely and out of seven of them we will be day touring the Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath,Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swaymbhunath areas. These monument zones are very famous for its religious resembles,art and crafts, statues and its history. The religious ensemble of Swayambhu includes the oldest Buddhist monument (a stupa) in the Valley; that of Bauddhanath includes the largest stupa in Nepal; The Kathmandu Durbar Square held the palaces of the Malla and Shah Kings who ruled over the city. Along with these palaces, the square surrounds quadrangles, revealing courtyards and temples. It is known as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, a name derived from a statue of Hanuman, the monkey devotee of Lord Ram, at the entrance of the palace. And Pashupatinath has an extensive Hindu temple precinct with a Hindu temple complex with one of the earliest inscriptions in the Valley. The unique tiered temples are mostly made of fired brick with mud mortar and timber structures. The roofs are covered with small overlapping tiles, with gilded brass ornamentation. The windows, doorways and roof struts have rich decorative carvings. The stupas have simple but powerful forms with massive, whitewashed hemispheres supporting gilded cubes with the all-seeing eternal Buddha eyes. This four world heritage sites are very close to the centre of the Kathmandu and it can be toured easily around the Kathmandu.
First we will receive you from your hotel in Kathmandu and we will visit the monkey temple Swayambhunath and explore for approx 1 hour then we will continue our tour to Kathmandu Durbar Square. After exploring the Kathmandu Durbar Square we will visit the Boudhhanath stupa and stop for a while for our day lunch, after lunch we will explore the Bouddhanath and we will visit our last destination of this tour Pashupatinath a Hindu temple and explore around it for a while, after exploring the Pashupatinath we will drop you in your hotel in Kathmandu.
